Term 4 Whole School Assembly

Today we had the final whole school assembly for 2016.

On Saturday the MRPS Ukulele Group performed at Vector Arena. It was a fantastic day and the group performed like professionals. A huge THANK YOU to Mrs Dawson for all of your hard work and dedication. What an awesome ukulele teacher you are!

OMG Tech Rangers!

A group of Year 4 learners attended the @OMGTechRangers event on Saturday the 26th of November. They had an amazing day learning about the possibilities of science and technology. Check out what they got up to:



Music with Mrs Dawson

We are so lucky to have a specialist music teacher at MRPS named Mrs Dawson. She takes us for music lessons a couple of times a year. She has taught us so much about reading music. Check out what we did with her today!

3D Printing

The Y4 Makerspace Group have been working extremely hard to get the 3D printers up and running for people to use.


Siddhu, Amatan and Salah couldn't wait to get started. They created a minion using Tinkercad and today they printed it!



The Y4 Uke Group Won K Factor 2016!

They did it! The MRPS Y4 Ukulele Group won Kmart's K Factor competition.

Electrical Circuits

As part of our Electricity unit we are learning all about simple electrical circuits. We have been creating simple circuits with wires, batteries, lightbulbs and switches and discovering how electrons flow.

At the beginning of this term, we were told that Miss Bishop had 20 free bikes to giveaway! She asked everyone from Y2-5 to write a letter explaining why they wanted, needed, deserved a new bike!

Looking On

We have been writing poems based on a poem called The Looker-On, by Frank Kendon. Using the same structure, we wrote our own poems based on our surroundings at MRPS. We spent some time just sitting and watching the things that were happening around us.
